How we grade a single
The same four checks, every card, before it goes on the site.
Front, under light
Angled against a lamp to catch surface scratches and print lines that scans hide completely.
Edges and corners
Whitening on the back edges is the most common reason a card drops from Near Mint to Lightly Played.
Centering and back
Measured, not eyeballed. Anything badly off-centre is called out in the listing rather than left for you to find.
Graded down, never up
When a card sits between two grades it gets the lower one. That is the whole policy.
Questions we get a lot
Orders placed before 2:00 pm ET on a business day leave our unit within 1 business day. Standard delivery then takes 2 to 5 business days within the United States. Preorders are the exception — they ship on or after the release date printed on the product page.
Near Mint is pack-fresh or close to it. Lightly Played has minor edge wear or a light surface mark. Moderately Played has visible whitening or scratching. Heavily Played has significant wear but is still sleeve-playable. Damaged has creases, tears or water damage and is priced accordingly. The full breakdown with photographs is on our condition guide.
Every single ships in a penny sleeve, then a toploader or semi-rigid, then a team bag, then a rigid mailer. Orders over $150 go in a box with tracking and signature. Sealed product ships double-boxed with void fill so the outer box takes the damage instead of the product.
Send us a photo within 30 days of delivery and we cover return shipping and refund you in full. Grading is a judgement call and we get it wrong occasionally — when we do, it is our cost, not yours.
Yes. Japanese sealed and singles are listed with Language as a filter and a facet, not buried in the product title, so you can browse English-only or Japanese-only from any collection page.
